A polémica do "nós vs. eles" entre o jornalismo e os bloggers não esmorece. Esteve no centro de algumas conversas animadas na recente conferência sobre credibilidade e está até, numa perspectiva mais abrangente, associada à conversa que mantemos com o autor do "ContraFactos" (e à qual voltarei num outro post).
Vem isto a propósito...?
Vem a propósito de um texto muito equilibrado - parece-me - escrito por Dave Pell no seu BlogBlog. Diz Pell que, no mais das vezes, o exagerar de posições serve apenas propósitos argumentativos, não se baseando na realidade: "Blogs are the best thing to happen to newspapers since the internet age first went boom".
E há mais:
"Old media will not be killed off, but they should want to adapt. The internet is an effective marketing channel and allows two to infinite way communication. Embrace it my newspaper friends. And new media will not crush the status quo overnight, but it does add more voices to the mix and that's a good thing for everyone. You're reading this right now and that factor (yes, that revolution) should not be underestimated.
Maybe the best we can hope for in this dawning new age is that the simplistic and tired Us vs Them storylines will be gradually replaced by something that more closely resembles common sense".
